Which will unfortunately be torn down before it's ever finished.

Damon - This is beautiful control of some difficult lighting. A really impressive image. ( curious - why is it slatted for demolition ? )

@Stephen Phillips: Thanks, Stephen! The reason it's going down is this: The cupola you see here is part of a very large barn on a farm by the side of a highway. It was intended to be a sort of farm-related shopping centre. However after sinking a huge amount of money in the project, the farmers were bankrupted by two sequential years of bad weather. And so the unfinished structure has stood since then. Lately, the farm has been bought by a local private school (Concord Academy) which originally thought the building could be useful, but lately has decided to tear it down and use the land for athletic fields. On a positive note, at least the materials used in this building will be reused where possible so hopefully it won't be a total waste, but you never know.
A beautiful structure! But have mercy with us foreigners: any info on this building (links)? Shouldn't a building like this be under monumental protection?

@MadScientist: Thank you, MadScientist! The building may appear to be monumental in my photo, but it isn't historic or anything like that; it was part of a barn that turns out to be sadly unwanted. I've written a more complete answer to Stephen Phillips in the comment above, so check that out if you're curious.
