They Keep Coming

Posted by
Damon Schreiber (Toronto, Canada) on 12 April 2007 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio.

Gee, my sports shots are really, uh, unique. Think I'll get a job with Sports Illustrated?

High-res here.

[Shaw near Dewson, Toronto]

The following text is for people interested in participating in the next Am3 theme project. Read, and feel free to copy and paste this text on your own image page once you have the details...

Ok, here's how the next theme's going to work. I want it to be open to anyone, but there's a catch: if you comment on my photos until the middle of April, I'll send you the details (Aminus3 members only naturally). Then once you have them, you can pass them along to anyone who comments on your photos. This way, we can play a fun game of whispers, and see what we come up with at the end. Of course, you can let me know if you're not interested.

Canon PowerShot G3 1/640 second F/2.2 ISO 50 8 mm

Still from France

Interesting light a little oppressive ...

I like how well defined the net is.
A bit opressive, yes, but a great shot anyway.

AH the good ol days of when people played the game for the "love" of it!! This is the place where the game is true and honest.

Sylvia Van Nooten from Milano, Italy

Sort of a 'prison' ambience, but then, I like that! Catches the eye, quite....STRIKING.....

sorry

But for Sports Illustrated don't you need some hooters somewhere? Certainly in Italian sports mags you would see a couple. (Note I refrained from using the verb 'to bounce' although I took every ounce of self control.)

Damon, do you think everyone's "oppressive" and "desolate" comments have anything to do with the crap weather we've had lately? I think you captured the mood of everyone living in Toronto with this image. Seriously, well composed and presented. I really enjoy these kinds of shots.
