Ok, I admit to really liking this one. So much that I don't know what to do for a follow up. Whatever it is, I'll feel let down. I'll probably have to pop out of transportation for a few days.

I can see why you like it. I love the softness of the shot, which is really accentuated by the subtle blurring and the colours are beautifully handled. The capture is exquisite with the communication between the two subjects wonderfully apparant. I love the tones of the interior itself, was this acheived by curves? It's really quite beautiful itself in its own way, those deep burgundy reds, blues, yellows and greens. It's clear you've treated this remarkably well.

@Duncan Galbraith: Many thanks, Duncan! If I remember the processing, it was a bunch of things including a bit of blur, a bit of high pass sharpening, a bit of lighting effects... But apart from the subjects here, these old buses have a lot of personality (and great colours).

ace shot. animated both by the people and the colours. i've been trying to get good transport shots whilst travelling around yorkshire and gotta say that mine are considerable more dour and glum

This is a great image. For some reason it seems to have the feeling of one of Duncan's subway shots. Nice work with the colours and lighting. It's like there's nothing else in the world apart from the two ladies.

i love the hdr look of the whole thing, high contrast and saturation, and that bloom effect is very interesting :)
noise is good too, however maybe a little cropping would have tightened the frame around the two ladies.
anyways good stuff :)

@eydryan: Thanks, Eydryan! Glad you liked it. As you can see by the square aspect ratio, I did crop it to what I believe to be the ideal composition for this piece. As much as I loved the human interaction, I really loved the feeling of the whole scene, the context and tableau. So no, I wouldn't crop another pixel.
a casual moment, put in focus and made special through your lens. I can see why you like this, and I wonder how you went about on taking it. your models look so natural that I doubt they knew they were being photographed. I never dare to secretly snap pictures of people and try to be inconspicuous about it for fear of getting caught and scolded. but then I am a big chicken, and you probably aren't. love the shot! :)

@Andrea Cebrero G.: Thanks, Andrea! I'm also a big chicken. But it turns out that people are oblivious more often than they are observant. Anyhow around here at least, most people can't be bothered to scold. That said, I'm fairly certain these women were in the oblivious category, and I'm happy for them.
