Duncan Galbraith from kyoto, JapanReally like the vividness of the isolated elements against the darkness. Great shot and processing. 13 Nov 2006 5:31am @Duncan Galbraith: Thanks. I've been enjoying everyone's comments, especially that they choose different things to comment on. I'm amazed looking at this image today that there are new things I hadn't seen earlier. Because there are a deceptively great number of details. Like the reflection of the man who's standing, the crossword enthousiast on the left, and the "a little farther" tucked into the corner. mario marko from Zagreb, CroatiaTTC the better way... :) 13 Nov 2006 10:03am Craig Persel from Montreal, CanadaNice urban street/metro image. Vivid colors work well. 13 Nov 2006 3:12pm @Craig Persel: Thanks (and to the others who commented on the processing)! I wasn't really sure which way to go with this photo, but in the end, the high-contrast, saturated colour approach seemed to work best at conveying a mood. Ryan Yam from Quezon City, PhilippinesNice popping colors there... And I noticed where you got the picture title from ;) I wish buses here looked as comfortable as that. It is always so jam-packed here. 13 Nov 2006 5:17pm @Ryan Yam: Thanks. It depends what time you take it. In the late afternoon at rush hour, this route is very packed. Martine Lapointe from Québec, CanadaNice shot! You don't have trouble to take pictures of anybodies? 13 Nov 2006 5:57pm @Martine Lapointe: I'm not that brave, but one good thing about my camera is that it's discreet, and so I don't think anyone actually noticed this time. Also the straps at the top left were in the centre of the original composition. I cropped it down. But in any case, nobody has ever confronted me about taking pictures, except for once which was pretty funny and a story for another day. Jenny from Manchester, United KingdomNice shot, I like it. Gives a touch of the "life". 13 Nov 2006 7:01pm Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, AustraliaCool shot. I like how the oncoming cars are visible as well as the commuters 13 Nov 2006 8:23pm Zahra from Houston, United Stateslove the colors...and i think the fact that everyone seems to be looking away from the camera makes it more interesting.. 14 Nov 2006 12:39am lapsus from SpainMe gusta el fuerte contraste que le has dado a la imagen. El colorido, magnifico. 14 Nov 2006 12:49am @lapsus: ¡Gracias! |
