bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaThis is cool Damon! It's such a busy scene but there is a method to the madness. Wonderfully photographed with great tonal range. 9 Jan 2009 5:45am k@ from Paris, FrancePerfect framing for a typical scene out of a movie from the 50's where I'm expecting now some great actor of those times to enter the set ! 9 Jan 2009 6:42am Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesInteresting menu. I've never heard of peameal and eggs though. Nice capture. 9 Jan 2009 7:21am @Steve Rice: Thanks, Steve! For those who are curious, Peameal is peameal bacon which is the truly Canadian version of what is called 'Canadian Bacon' (but isn't nearly as good) in the USA. It is a lean pork loin which is cured but not smoked, and is coated with cornmeal (perhaps formerly meal made from yellow peas). It is eaten sliced and fried or grilled. It's delicious with a juicy salty/sour taste most unlike streaky bacon. It's called 'peameal bacon' or 'back bacon' but never 'Canadian bacon' in Canada. Canadians also enjoy 'regular' streaky bacon which is simply referred to as 'bacon' here. JamesC from portland, United StatesOutstanding, love the details and representation and that big tooth captures my attention. Very fine image with a very fine camera. 9 Jan 2009 8:00am zahai from Berlin, GermanyGreat contrast and a somewhat documentary feel to the whole composition. So many details to spot... the peameal sounds intersting indeed :) 9 Jan 2009 9:28am Robert from Kingsville, CanadaLike the photo , and the walkin clinic in the reflection . 9 Jan 2009 1:54pm Bernie (BFXTG) from N., FranceSo nice !
