That really is very good, very funny. You're right; what exactly is 50% off? I think there was something very cool in that window and someone said "I can't believe they're offering up to 50% off for that - I must have it!". Of course, we will never know if the purchaser really got 50% off for the thing. That "up to" allows a lot of leeway... "Well, okay, a lot of people have been interested in this you know; how about 45% off?". I heard life is like that in Canada.
