An obligatory snapshotPosted by Damon Schreiber (Toronto, Canada) on 5 May 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Going to see the cherry blossoms is great. Toronto has but one (very nice) spot for 'hanami' (cherry-blossom-viewing) that I know of - actually it's two locations within High Park. So many people are busy taking photos that you kind of lose the sense of quiet contemplation that ought to be present. Instead, we're all busy recording the ephemeral beauty, perhaps in subconscious dread of the coming environmental apocalypse. [High Park, Toronto]
