The Golden Mean

I'm not really a dedicated photographer of sunsets, but it must be the time of year because twice in the last week, I've gotten shots that I like.
I go by this place almost every day. Last night at sunset, it looked ... different. I have no explanation for the apparent shadow behind the jet trail either.
