Queen's Park looking North
Posted by Damon Schreiber (Toronto, Canada) on 13 August 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.
Sakamoto/Schreiber - Toronto 1977-2007 series starts here.
Note: This is the Ontario Legislature, built in 1893. Obviously not much has changed here architecturally. The building was restored once in the late 80s - sandblasted to reveal the original pink sandstone, but the main difference is the landscaping. Much more care is lavished upon it today than it was 30 years ago. And the trees have grown. The people you see in the distance of my shot waving their arms were tourists who had just asked me to take their photos in front of the building with their cameras a few minutes before.
