Long live the kingPosted by Damon Schreiber (Toronto, Canada) on 10 July 2007 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. I couldn't let yesterday's go without a companion piece. Also of Sam's before the final curtain. The crazy reflections are because I shot it from outside the shop. Now that they're closed, I wish I'd taken more pictures. The windows are already papered up, but at least the City Council declared the big sign a historic property before it closed so that remains I guess. Nobody's supplying the electricity any more though. And speaking of electricity, can anyone tell me what that electric-looking character in the neon sign at the right of this picture is? My memory fails me. High-res here. And also a shot of some of that vintage vinyl they were selling... [Yonge & Gould, Toronto]
