Paradise LostPosted by Damon Schreiber (Toronto, Canada) on 6 July 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. Gotta get these dark themes out of my system. Love the darkness though. Anyway, a real change of pace tomorrow, a really big project that's been a long time in the making. High-res here. [Wilson & Transit, Toronto]

Levine from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaSimply superb shot you have here. The clouds, the plane, rays. Very dramatic sky. 6 Jul 2007 5:31am allen from Philippinesgreat composition! Perfect backlighting and B&W. Great job here Damon. You don't know the power of the dark side. 6 Jul 2007 12:41pm maivju:z from kyoto, JapanThat, my friend, is a winner. Like the title, love the image. Very nice work indeed. 6 Jul 2007 1:16pm Alfredo J. Martiz J. from Tokyo, JapanGreat and dramatic photo, do you like the music of Paradise Lost?, the last cd In Requiem is excellent! 6 Jul 2007 1:22pm Duncan Galbraith from Kyoto, JapanAye this is beautiful. Absolutely belting lighting and the silhouette is just divine. This looks like heaven itself opened up to your lens. This is bloody good man. In fact its more than that but Im trying not to use any offensive profanity. What a tonal range! love the barbed fence at the bottom, symbolizing our inability to access all that lies above those clouds...until the final darkness takes us there that is. I think I need to cheer up my blog a bit.....;) 6 Jul 2007 2:23pm Anthony from Singapore, Singaporeyour foto simply blown me off... awesome... wonderful B&W photography.... 6 Jul 2007 3:03pm Dawn Sutherland from Phoenix, United StatesDamon, this is stunning. Beautiful! 6 Jul 2007 3:51pm Adam Brown from Dallas, TX, United Statesi love this...very dramatic...awsome work....your other stuff is great too 6 Jul 2007 5:23pm Nick Passantino from Bronx, United Statesgreat dramatic capture here.. so many great aspects.. the fence, the tones.. they all come together really well. a real gem here damon 6 Jul 2007 11:02pm Rags from Plano, United StatesI think you are wrong. This is not a dark pic. It is a pic so full of hope! Though paradise seems lost, the sun has burst through a cloud bringing warmth to your image. All is not lost! 7 Jul 2007 3:18am @Rags: Thanks, Rags! Well, it's not like I'm depressed or anything. But I still think it's a dark image. Yes, the sun has burst through the clouds, but the plane has left, and the viewer is stil behind the barbed wire. Daniel from Olympia, United StatesAcutually, this looks very hopeful to me. The plane is a means of escape and the sun blowing through the clouds alludes to better things to come. 7 Jul 2007 6:47pm Stu from Kyoto, JapanThis is absolutely stellar! What an impact. Amazing lighting and theme suggested by the title. It's kind of ominous and hopeful at the same time. A real cracker of a shot, Damon. 8 Jul 2007 10:57am |
