Any Excuse A Reason

A slight homage to Duncan's Finding Excuses And Reasons. I wouldn't have done this except that by yet another one of those cosmic coincidences, I took this photo a day before Duncan posted his, and I couldn't resist. Not as well done as his, I know, but I was struck by the similarity in this universal pose.

A very dark, gritty and moody feel to the pp on this one, Damon. Also like the woe-begotten subject's centre positioning.

wahey! nice one Damon. Cracking take and yes indeed this is a universal pose yet one which still carries a lot of weight and power. Love the dark tones in this and I salute you sir for the wee homage. Its not really needed as like you said its a universal pose and has therefore been photographed a squillion times, but its appreciated nonetheless.

@Duncan Galbraith: Perhaps a squillion (or even more). However, I was very struck when I saw your image and it reminded me immediately of the one still not downloaded on my SD card.

When I took this, I was busy photographing other things on the block (you'll see later), and I saw this guy walking down the street with (I think) a smile. Then a few minutes later he'd adopted this pose and remained motionless like it for a long time. Might still be there. Poor thing, it appears that it all caught up with him suddenly. I hate it when that happens.

@Daroru: Thanks, Daroru! Well, the processing was certainly a broad attempt to emulate Duncan's work. It was shot in broad daylight.

if i have to choose the best out of the bests,i think Damon,i would choose this one over Duncan one,because this one is more dynamic in terms of compo,feels,atmosphere and mood that goes deep into our heart.Well done !
