I demand the return of Captain Canada! Well not demand exactly as that would probably involve mass stakeouts of the city but it'd be nice to see him again. Very nice motor if you ask me. The flag is a wee bit too far yes but he's wearing his heart on his motor so what the heck. Nicely processed too, very urban.

@Duncan Galbraith: Heh, I wonder if Captain C wears that hat during summer too. Would certainly be nice to see him again - I'll keep my eyes open for sure.
Thanks for the comment on the photo as well, Duncan. In retrospect perhaps it would have had more impact in black and white. Funny thing is when I started this blog last year, I only posted colour images for quite a long time. Then gradually, I got more confident in black and white until I was going back and forth quite often. But now with the new camera, I seem to have a harder time again letting go of the colour values. I wonder if that's a common phenomenon. In any case, my first B&W from this camera is coming up in a couple days.
Happy Canada Day Damon, great urban shot, that guy is unbelievable, very extreme nationalist feeling, really cool, the car is gorgeus, wonderful oldie and urban photo! Who is Captain Canada?

@Alfredo J. Martiz J.: Thanks, Alfredo! Captain Canada is this guy. He helped ring in the new year with a 3-part subway series.
I was just about to comment on the colours here when I saw your reply to Duncan. I don't know what you've done to this shot but there's a slightly muted quality to the colours that I really like in this urban setting. What (if anything) did you do?
Hope you had a good day! Oh...and I just love that car! It wouldn't look quite the same with a Scottish thistle on the side, I suspect.

@Stu: Thanks, Stu! I muted them. Hmm... I don't have the file at hand, but if I recall correctly, I duplicated the main layer and set the blending mode as 'hard light'. It really brought out the texture of the sidewalk which was good because the original exposure was kind of bland.
