Crystal Juncture

Posted by Damon Schreiber (Toronto, Canada) on 8 June 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Last Saturday, I posted an image taken in the mirror of the new wing of the Royal Ontario Museum. It's hard to get a clear shot of the structure these days with anything like appropriate context, but for now this photo will do to show how a new modernist building was imposed on the old ROM structure. I spent some time last weekend hanging out at the opening party at night and went inside the next day, and I'll post some of the photos I took over the next few days. Hope you like.

What do I think of the new 'Michael Lee-Chin Crystal'? Here's my three-word review: 'It's too pointy'.

High-res here.
