Kind of an odd abstracted photo that holds whatever mystery you're into. In reality, it's just a locked gate on a busy street. If you were to walk down Church Street on any night of the year, you would probably be able to end up with a similar picture, you know, if you wanted to...
High-res here.

The following text is for people interested in participating in the next Am3 theme project. Read, and feel free to copy and paste this text on your own image page once you have the details...
Ok, here's how the next theme's going to work. I want it to be open to anyone, but there's a catch: if you comment on my photos until the middle of April, I'll send you the details (Aminus3 members only naturally). Then once you have them, you can pass them along to anyone who comments on your photos. This way, we can play a fun game of whispers, and see what we come up with at the end. Of course, you can let me know if you're not interested.

I will avoid Church Street, but I think we have a similar idea here in town, I just gotta hustle my butt out there some night and give it a whirl.

It is interesting how a simple, iron gate can become so mysterious at night in this kind of lighting. The shadow on the wall adds to the mystery and would make a great scene for a horror movie location. (I watch Space Channel)!!! Great composition :)

I like it, the tone to it (for me) makes me feel like it's forbidden. Of course that makes me want to know even more what is behind that gate!! ha ha

I quite like it, the warm colours work well. An interesting shot of the everyday, nice work man!

It's a cool shot, like Chris and Craiger I think the colours and composition are excellent, with the shot asking a question that makes me want to keep on looking.

There's actually something kind of theatrical about the way the light hits that part of the gate on the left--kind of like a spotlight. Can I join in the theme posts? =)

Nicely framed

Very impressive shot. The strong orange color contribute to the mystery your writing about.... For me the picture tells "flames on the left and no chance to escape"
Btw: what about the theme project. I am new here and not sure what themes are about.....but like to contribute to it.
