as the electroblog continues its virtual Mexican holiday...
The City of Tlaxcala lies to the south of Mexico City, about an hour away. You can see hardly anything of it here, but the quality of light, and the brightly painted wall is typical for the area.
High-Res here.

And look at those clouds!! Can you give a pronunciation guide please? The family think I'm spitting or swearing when i tried the name out just now...!

@Bronnie: Thanks, Bronnie! It sounds almost as it looks. The only difference is that the x is pronounced like an s, so tlass-KAH-la. The 'tl' sound is a common feature of Nauhatl. I find Tlaxcala less of a mouthful than Tlatelolco. Try walking around the house saying that. They'll think you're loca.
Great light/shadow combination! Processing is spot on as usual!

@Angry Buddha: Thanks, Sean!
damon, this one's beautiful. perfectly framed. for me, the clouds seem full of motion, pulling leftward, while the bright bright light floods the frame left to right, pushing shadows across the scene. i love the effect, which gives the picture both vitality and balance. well done.
