Bronnie from Christchurch, New ZealandMore coffee please... and less energy. Great photo! I love the graphic elements in this, suits it well. 1 Mar 2007 6:41am @Bronnie: Many thanks, Bronnie! Alfredo J. Martiz J. from Tokyo, JapanThis is great composition Damon, beautiful scene, great lighting and really delicate use of the graphic elements, somehow it gave me this Oceans Eleven of sort of feeling! 1 Mar 2007 7:33am @Alfredo J. Martiz J.: Thanks, Alfredo. Never saw Oceans Eleven. Recommended? jc from Irelandso well done, Damon .. the bright shiny nature of the shot accepts the graphic input seamlessly.. fantastic. 1 Mar 2007 9:05am @jc: Many thanks, John! Jason Kravitz from Brussels, BelgiumHa Damon - brilliant concept. This could easily be an ad for something ! I love how you got one go getter hitting the stairs. Nicely done - looking forward to the others. 1 Mar 2007 10:27am @Jason Kravitz: Thanks, Jason! Duncan Galbraith from kyoto, JapanMan, this is a cracker (not used that for a while). Echo Alfredos movie reference although for me it has more of a guy ritchie element than anything. Its a great graphic image. Conceptually you're always one step ahead of the game. Bravo! 1 Mar 2007 10:46am @Duncan Galbraith: Many thanks, Duncan! Haven't seen Oceans Eleven or anything by Guy Ritchie either, though someone did give me a copy of Snatch awhile ago. Never got around to it. I was originally going to just use the photo as-is; I'm not sure why I thought of adding the captions, apart from the pressure of making sure it fit the theme. And cheers to that! Stu from Kyoto, JapanThis is just super. The graphics add a whole new dimension to the image. It really tells a story....well...5 stories actually. Love your approach to the theme. 1 Mar 2007 10:50am @Stu: Many thanks, Stu! @Putter: I'm sure he has his reasons. Thanks, Putter! Craiger from Vacaville, California, United StatesCool idea! It could be an advertisement! 1 Mar 2007 11:10am @Craiger: Thanks Craig! I wonder what it could advertise. benjamin from Singaporecomic and well... really well done. i love the backup plan and the glare! its almost too funny. haha. very well done! i wanna join in this job thing too. can i?=P 1 Mar 2007 11:26am @benjamin: Thanks, Benjamin! You're more than welcome to get a job, just try not to get Mr. Glare as your boss. @Craig Persel: Many thanks, Craig! Sylvia from Milano, ItalyDepressing in that 'brilliant evocative photograph way'--- I mean that fully as a compliment too. Witty, great capture. 1 Mar 2007 12:43pm @Sylvia: Thanks, Sylvia! Happy to be depressing. @Jen: Thanks, Jen! dYe from Cambridge, United StatesVery clever and funny! Plus the actual photograph is excellent. 1 Mar 2007 3:32pm @dYe: Many thanks, dYe! Ins@no from Porto, PortugalExcelent Composition (just perhaps crop the 1st person on the right), great sense of humour, combined wiiht good eye, gives this, a great Photo. 1 Mar 2007 3:57pm @Ins@no: Thanks, Ins@no! I think you're right about the cropping. That escaped my attention when I was working on it. @Jenny: Wish I had more of it. Thanks, Jenny! Addey Kehinde from London, United KingdomDude, I love your work here! More please..! 1 Mar 2007 5:02pm @Addey Kehinde: This was just spontaneous. I'll have to see if I can do more like it at some point in the future. Many thanks, Addey! @elaine: Thanks, Elaine! @William: So it would appear... Thanks, William! Angry Buddha from United StatesYou've outdone yourself with this one. Great work! 1 Mar 2007 8:12pm @Angry Buddha: Many thanks, Sean! Still from Valence, FranceWow! Wonderful image . I like a lot how you are interpreting the question of work . Brilliant! 1 Mar 2007 8:14pm @Still: Merci, Still! When I think of work, I always remember a French film I saw many years ago: La Comédie du travail. I think that film said it all. Evie Sears from United StatesExcellent photo. It would be outstanding without the captions. Nevertheless, the captions are priceless and hilarious. Wonderful, humorous photo! 1 Mar 2007 8:29pm @Evie Sears: Thanks, Evie! See, the hard part was getting everyone to stand where the captions were and to pose correctly; what a nightmare that shoot was! @Leslie Horacek: Thanks, Leslie! Michael Zhang from New York City, United StatesWow this is excellent. Not merely a photograph, but a creation. 1 Mar 2007 9:26pm @Michael Zhang: Meh...I was just doodling. Thanks, Michael! Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, AustraliaNice one mate! The commentary works a treat here; and it's all so true; I'd watch out for the guy with the glare looks like he's not to be trifled with! Great start to the series! 1 Mar 2007 9:41pm @Chris Sullivan: Thanks, Chris! I will watch out for Mr. Glare; he may not have wanted to become an internet celebrity. @kaveh: Thanks, Kaveh! @H.O: Many thanks, Hiroさん! Sidonie from Sydney, AustraliaAh, what a great graphic overlay! Bicycle on the elevator - now that's a difficult manoeuvre! 2 Mar 2007 4:09am @Sidonie: Thanks, Sidonie! Now I'm confused: I know your 'lift' is my elevator... Is your 'elevator' my escalator? One is more difficult that the other depending on how much room there is inside the elevator. On an escalator, it's fairly easy: just keep the brake levers squeezed. yubai from Taipei, TaiwanWonderfull colors ! I like the metallic tones as a metaphor of the working mornings...! 2 Mar 2007 6:38am @yubai: Thanks, Yubai! I'm glad you liked the colours; I liked them too. Maoya from Rolle, SwitzerlandFantastic humour and originality on the subject. Love the lines all over le place. 2 Mar 2007 10:39am @Maoya: Thank you, Maoya! @Makoto: Thanks, Makotoさん! Untitled from Kyoto, JapanHats off! This is great. It's like an advertising poster. Love the concept. It's hard work pushing your bike uphill...and he's cheating. Original...great! 2 Mar 2007 2:49pm @Untitled: Thank you thank you thank you, Shadow! I haven't decided yet what I want it to advertise, though. Yvon from Meerkerk, NetherlandsWow, Can't add anything to all the other comments. the comment you've put in are great, the picture very strong. 2 Mar 2007 6:28pm @Yvon: Dank u wel, Yvon! ginger from Melbourne, Australiafascinating - expanding on the communicative possibilities of photography - a real concept piece - impressive 2 Mar 2007 9:17pm @ginger: Many thanks, Ginger. Perhaps I wasn't confident enough to let the picture speak 1000 words: I wanted to spell it out. Kelvin Chan from New York City, United StatesLOL. you made me comment on a picture. bravo 3 Mar 2007 1:11am @Kelvin Chan: (!) Gee, I didn't realise it was such hard work for you to comment these days. Thanks, Kelvin! @kmf: Thanks, kmf! @Pepa: ¡Muchísimas gracias, Pepa! |
