Pink Boots Two

On Monday, it snowed again and I crossed paths with the pink booted girls again. Have you ever had the feeling of Déjà Vu? Have you ever had the feeling of Déjà Vu? Erm... anyway, I crossed over to the other side to show you their single-file lock-stepped daily march. Also seen are another pair of siblings digging out after the previous night's snowfall. And another pair of pink boots.

You can say that again Damon. Love the pink boots---and the contrast between the stoic 'walking to school' gait and the pinkness of the boots. Then there is the yellow sunflower with yellow parka connection--although not sure what that means in the larger frame of things, I like it.

@Sylvia: Thanks, Sylvia! Yeah, the pink does sort of undermine their military march. Maybe if we outfitted our armies with pink boots, they'd think twice about marching into battle. Just a thought...

Deja Vu is a strange phenomenon! Poor kids walking to school in snow up hill both ways. I like those sunflowers on the house on the right. Some hints of spring for the winter.

Love the heads-down pose of the marching girls. Don't know why but they remind me of the umpa lumpas from Willie Wonka! They look nothing like them so have no idea where my mind is at!? Just can't get the umpa lumpa song out of my head.......and neither will you be, now. ;-)

@Stu: No, you're right, Stu! They do look a bit like Oompa-Loompas. Fall, Winter, and Spring, I've seen them always marching single-file, laden down with enormous backpacks - possibly carrying cocoa beans (and there is a chocolate factory not too far from my house).

Love the almost military presicion in the steps, the two kids going awol, the colours and that gosh darn snow again. I want some over here. although preferably not quite as much as you have over there.

@Duncan Galbraith: Oh, boy, you wouldn't want what we had last night... A huge snowfall, followed late at night by ice pellets, freezing rain, and finally regular rain. In the morning we had quite a few downed trees, power outages here and there, and flooding to boot. Lots of fun!
