I love the snow Damon. Tehran gets really snowy but that's not occational.

@Sylvia: Mille grazie, Sylvia! I was on Shaw, but the sign (for the cross street) said Bloor underneath all that snow. Not even that cold, more wet than cold.
@Makoto: だいじょうぶですよ！ The temperature isn't that low these days.

What a scene! There's been practically zero snow fall here this year. I'm quite disappointed as I really wanted to visit Kenrokuen in Kanazawa. Wouldn't be too happy with the arctic-like snow drifts you have to deal with though!

Osaka is remarkably similar but for different reasons...they have street signs approximatley every 100 blocks ;). Good luck out there...hope your camera doesnt freeze to death.

@Duncan Galbraith: Thanks, Duncan! No danger of freezing, although I did have to put it away shortly after taking this one because so much snow was falling - and melting - on it.
I find that in general it's best to navigate Japanese cities using spidey-sense, as streets often don't even have names let alone marked names. Last summer, my son carried a compass, and that was invaluable on our excursions.
