Snowstreaks

A few days ago, I posted a photo and Bronnie commented "it emphasises what I imagine driving snow must be like". It made me want to really show it, and I think this one does.

If a snowflake travels about a foot in 1/20 sec, it goes 20 feet in a second or 72000 feet in an hour. That means the wind's blowing at about 13.6 mph. Who knew a camera could also be an anemometer? (It's a fine picture, too, BTW.)

Lovely. sorry not lovely, excruciatingly and painfully wonderful. I think Alby hit the nail on the head, like brush strokes an a canvas. A very dynamic, and as Hiro said artistic image.

@Duncan Galbraith: Thanks a bundle, Duncan! I'm not too too crazy about this one, but it did give an idea what the snow was like that day. I had a devil of a time squaring everything up in Photoshop afterwards :)
