The Waiting Crowd (1)

Three photos about waiting for the train, populated by the stars of the Internet. I suppose that Platform Anticipation could be considered the first in this series since it's about a crowd building, and they're all at the same station.

In the news, the marquee of the beloved Revue Cinema which I photographed on its second-last day of operation last year, crashed to the earth yesterday of its own volition. Details and photos here :-(

this should be good. Seeing how a locale changes over time, different faces filling the frame. Thats most disturbing news about the ol' Revue...looks a right state. Anyway, so far you've got a nice range of ages covered, lets see where it goes from here eh? critically the off kilter tilt is a bit distracting mind...result from a hip shot? always tricky to nail. unless you have a swivel sceen that is ;-)

The [url=http://revuefilmsociety.org/people who wish to save the Revue are still upbeat thanks to a potential purchase by a sympathetic local resident originally from Liverpool, so one never knows but it may rise phoenix-like. Don't know if the series will get any better - I'm already a bit bored with it... As to the alleged tilt... I think you're seeing the perspective distortion, but the centre of the photo is aligned vertically as far as I can tell, and that's usually my gauge. Tell me if the condition persists.

Interesting composition and idea. Train/subway stations have a certain charm about them - as I can attest! While these places seem to have a lot of potential, i always find it difficult to capture something unique about them - it is so easy to come up with a generic or stereotypical interpretation. I am interested to see where you can push it.
