@Makoto: I liked their matching too-small purses. Thanks, Makoto!
Hi Damon, interesting shots. I used to live outside of Toronto (Peterborough) for years, but never made it onto the subway. Now I live in Seoul, Korea, and the subway has become a major part of my life here. Cross processing is an interesting way to work with colour photos taken under difficult lighting - like a tube station. You might want to try duplicating your original (bkgd) layer and then changing its blending mode to multiply or darken - you can get some other interesting results that way. Cheers, Aidan

@Aidan: Thanks for the kind words, Aidan, and many thanks for the tip! I agree that this is an interesting solution to situations with difficult lighting. Your colour work with the hands of subway passengers is sublime.
Damn straight!

@Still: Thanks, Still! They almost look to be floating, no?
solid stuff again Damon. the subjects are most fitting for your theme ;) Like the strength of colour, and the grain really works well here. gives it a raw kind of look, emphasising the candidness of the take.

@Duncan Galbraith: Very raw... The grain is particularly large because it's the left half of a photo in which I was attempting to capture the dobro musician in tomorrow's image. You can see the other two people in the capture looking his way. The happy girls flitted into the scene serendipitously and became the main subject. Thanks, Duncan!
This is a really interesting photo. really great how you were able to capture the moment. (:
