Fred from Easton PA, United StatesAnother wonderful image, it's a simple but very captivating scene. I don't know the location but you did a fine job capturing it. 7 Feb 2007 5:28am @Fred: It's one I took a photo of a couple months ago. Thanks, Fred! Bronnie from Christchurch, New ZealandSo cold, no I don't know where it is (gotta be somewhere popular I'm sure!). You've caught that chilly feel so well, I'm glad I'm over here in the warmth of our summer! 7 Feb 2007 6:44am @Bronnie: No not popular, but I've shown it before during warmer days. Thanks, Bronnie! Wayne from Melbourne, AustraliaI love the feel the photo evokes - the leafless trees....and pure snow. Brilliant! It's got that really great timeless quality about it too =) Great job =D 7 Feb 2007 9:29am @Wayne: Many thanks, Wayne! Stu from Kyoto, JapanTree. Bench. Person. Snow. Love the simplicity in this one, Damon. Don't quite know what you've done to it processing-wise (it's so subtle), but i like it. It feels clean and fresh somehow. 7 Feb 2007 11:22am @Stu: If you saw all the layers in photoshop, you wouldn't think it's so subtle. Thanks, Stu! @Still: Merci, Still! @Angry Buddha: Thank you, Sean! Untitled from Kyoto, JapanAgain...this is absolutely wonderful. Superb! Wonderful composition. 7 Feb 2007 1:55pm @Untitled: Thank you so much, Shadow! JS from Brookline, United StatesAha! It's Christie Pits again - same scene as in #84 in your portfolio, posted 13 December 2006 in tribute to Rodion. (You might have given it away if you'd included the bar code.) This one might be even better, if that's possible. First rate, Damon! 7 Feb 2007 2:27pm @JS: You got it. Specifically, it's here (for those who want the link). Thanks, Jan! @Pero: Thank you, Pero! I was going for a meditative feel. Duncan Galbraith from kyoto, Japanaha...Rodions homage revisited! Very nice shot Damon. The human element brings an emotive quality...I'm getting a contemplative, reflective vibe. The kind of place Id choose to sit and gain perspective on this, that, and the other. 7 Feb 2007 2:55pm @Duncan Galbraith: Thanks, Duncan! Looks like you picked up on the mood I was trying to convey. It's not as peaceful a place as it appears since it faces a busy roadway, but I'm glad it looked that way here. The day I took this was so bloody cold... if you chose to sit down, you might not have been able to get up again. Maoya from Rolle, SwitzerlandNice one but doesn't beat the crazy creepy tree post. It's the same place isn't it? 7 Feb 2007 6:23pm @Maoya: It's this one. Is that what you meant? Anyway, this crazy creepy tree is resting and will grab some more unsuspecting pedestrians in the spring. @badala: Or its worst... Thanks, Badala! @Evebone: Thanks, Evebone! Jenny from Manchester, United KingdomLonely. Reminds me of that Notting Hill scene. 7 Feb 2007 9:29pm @Jenny: Refresh my memory... I think I saw it... when the seasons are changing as the camera pans? Thanks, Jenny! @Lucca's café: Thank you, Lucca! I agree that the man ads something. @Makoto: Thanks, Makoto! Alby from Turin, ItalyI've come back here after some months and I've found again wonderful shots. Beautiful. 8 Feb 2007 9:02pm @Alby: Welcome anytime, Alby! You have some wonderfuls shots as well. @Daniel: Thanks, Daniel! @Jesus: ¡Muchísimas gracias, Jesús! |
