M.E. from Encino, United Statesexceptional! brown and white combination!!! an exquisite picture. 6 Feb 2007 5:11am @M.E.: Many thanks, ME! Michael Zhang from New York City, United StatesGreat closeup. DOF is very short and really accents the snow weighing down those plants. 6 Feb 2007 5:11am @Michael Zhang: Thanks, Michael! Bronnie from Christchurch, New ZealandAnother exquisite shot! The colouring is so wonderful - and those crisp crystals of ice so perfectly in focus. 6 Feb 2007 8:09am @Bronnie: Much appreciated, Bronnie! I had to use manual focus to get it close (I know, poor me...). @Angry Buddha: Thanks, Sean! @shiqi: Thanks, Shiqi! Duncan Galbraith from kyoto, JapanLovely and crisp again. Great light, positively radiant! 6 Feb 2007 2:40pm @Duncan Galbraith: Thank you, Duncan! I think this is the last one for now, although it snowed last night, and I was tempted to do these all over again with fresh powder... By the way, for the issue I had with the purple powerlines the other day, one way you can check independently of how your monitor is calibrated is to take the Photoshop eyedropper and run it over the lines, you should be able to see in the foreground colour (or the info palette if you're good at reading colour values) where it's purple :) @William: Thanks, William! Nick Chase from Santa Rosa, California, United StatesI think these all work together to make an interesting series. I'd like to see where it goes. 6 Feb 2007 6:16pm @Nick Chase: Thanks, Nick! Now that I've got you wondering, I'll have to leave you hanging because I think this'll be the last one for now. @badala: Thank you, Badala! It's the secret life of plants. @Still: Thanks, Still! Yes, very cold. @Zach Siebert: Grazie, Zach! @lasiate: Merci, lasiate! @Aaron Schmidt: Thanks, Aaron! Evelyn from New Milford, United StatesBeautiful macro! I like the DOF. 11 Feb 2007 4:33am @Evelyn: Heh. I would think snow cones are more reminiscent of snow than the other way around... Thanks, Evelyn! |
