I've been seeing this here in BC this winter. The cold has helped to make this herb look so fragile as if it would break. Lovely shot - great angle!

@Anne: Usually it would have been dead before now, but with the mild early part of the winter, it was still green until encased in ice. Either way, dead by spring :-( In Italy (and maybe BC) it's a perennial. Sage is much hardier.
It all looks so brittle....like it's barely hanging on to life....weighed down by the ice and snow.....but there's still beauty here. Nicely captured, Damon.

@Stu: Thank you, Stu! I think you're right about it's state; the winter here is always too much for it.
beautiful is the word, as if its about to collapse (which I imagine it is). Love the pure white backdrop. Not been blessed with much snow this year in kyoto but i'm itching for it. maybe soon.
