@Bronnie: Morning Glory! It's a seed pod of a morning glory flower covered with ice and snow. Thanks, Bronnie!

@Dimitrios: I like your imagination! Thanks, Dimitrios!
very nice Damon, I take it this is the plant of the title? Never seen it in such a condition so its hard to judge. Love the colours you're getting in your images of late and cheers btw for the rundown on your Travis-Ruse method. Ill be experimenting next opportunity.

@Duncan Galbraith: Thanks, Duncan! Yes, it's a morning glory (朝顔-アサガオ)I was taken with the look of the dead plants after a snowfall last weekend, so that's what these are.
Another good one from you. Nice tones and colours and good use of DOF. Good stuff.

@Yanle: Correct, Yanie!
You actually find shooting in the snow fun? You must've dressed really warmly. But I'm a teenager I would freeze to death before I put on another layer. About the sun: I'm sorry but I just love the sun too much to crop it out. I find it very captivating to photograph the sun and incorporate it into a picture. I do understand why you want me to crop it out though, I just think it would be a bit bland (though it would probably show the coldness more efficiently) without that blob of overexposed area on top.

@Kelvin Chan: Thanks, Kelvin! Snow=good! At least I'm enjoying it so far this year after our unseasonbly warm early winter.
As to your photo, this is it, isn't it: We make our own decisions about composition and presentation, and often no amount of constructive criticism is convincing. Good for you. If you want the sun, keep it.
Like this too...very nice shot.
