Every year, the neighbours put up these decorations - and then usuallly leave them up until April or so. I like 'em, and anyway, they're better than ours - which don't exist.

Hey Damon. Nice to get back on here and see what you've been up to I loved the sign series. Very nice indeed! I like your neighbours minimalist style. Although theyre obviously not as minimal as yours (or mine);-)

@Duncan Galbraith: Hey yourself! Great to see you up and about, just in time for the holidays. If you think it's minimal, wait till tomorrow...
Oooo. It's so 'Church like' with the candles and Santa as the deity. Great shot, it looms from above, "YOU WILL BUY STUFF". And the star is below the Santa...sniff...I'm all metaphorical now.

@Sylvia: Hee hee hee... Indeed, I'm getting really confused about what this holiday is supposed to mean anymore. I find myself withdrawing in confusion.
classic decorations :o) reminds me of my faded youth :o)

@wanganeges: Aye, the faded youth... Hold on to it as it slip slip slips awayyyyy... Anyhow, I much prefer these decorations to the one I saw on the news last night which were guaranteed to keep the occupants and the neighbours awake at nights where they even broadcast a radio signal so that people who drive by can tune into a radio station and listen to the music that the lights are sychronised to, And there was a donation box...
I like this one, Santa kind of creeps me out from that view point! It's tricky to get these ones looking straight. Just barely crooked, that bit of frame at the bottom gives it away. Or maybe I stared at it for too long. Usually I try to crop out those details and rotate till a middle crooked stage if that makes any sense? A bit of a far fetched critique but it's because I think it's a really interesting christmassy photo!

@Maoya: Thanks, Maoya! I suppose it might be a bit off, or it might just have been the angle I was standing at relative to the house. Unusually for me, I didn't spend any time thinking about it, and I'm way to lazy to change it now :-)
Haha, maybe this year could be a change :)
