@H.O: Thank you, much appreciated, Hiro-san. Anthony from Vaughan, CanadaVery nice motion ! would love to see a whole series of slow night shots of T.O. 30 Nov 2006 5:31am @Anthony: Always a possibility... Thanks. @robo: Arigatou, Makoto-さん! @badala: Thanks, Badala! Suby from Milton Keynes, United KingdomGreat capture. Don't know why but made me smile. Suby 30 Nov 2006 1:15pm @Suby: Thanks, Suby! Darren Halliday from Toyko, JapanCool shot. I guess that bus doesn't stop at this stop. 30 Nov 2006 1:38pm @Darren Halliday: Thanks, Darren. It's actually a streetcar (note the tracks) and I think it did stop just after I snapped. Ryan from CanadaLike the blur and the lighting. However, the crane(?) in the top left distracts me. Otherwise it's great. 30 Nov 2006 2:03pm @Ryan: I thought about removing the crane too but decided against it. In a way, I think it's balanced with the vent on the right. Duncan Galbraith from kyoto, Japancool shot Damon. I have a fascination with long exposures of traffic. Nice work. 30 Nov 2006 2:09pm @Duncan Galbraith: Thanks. They are fun to do. I keep a little ball-head tripod foot thing attached to the bottom of my camera, so I can set up anywhere convenient. I think this was taken on top of a newspaper box. Blain from Toride, JapanLove the motion blur here, and the bright colour. Gotta love the literacy rate of people--couldn't they come up with anything more creative than "penis tour" to scrawl on a roof? ;) 30 Nov 2006 2:18pm @Blain: No kidding. I get the impression that they were probably drunk given the choice of words, the way they ran out of space, and the way they appear to have fallen off the roof with their paint can. @Addey: Thanks Addey, me too. You never know what kind of motion you'll get with a shot like this. Colour blind from Tokyo, JapanI love the transport effect...I've always loved this effect!!! I never knew blurry things could look so stunning on film!! It's a great capture. 30 Nov 2006 3:37pm @Colour blind: Thank you, but - no film! @Martine Lapointe: Merci bien, Martine. Martin from a small village in Lower Austria, AustriaGreat shot, the motion effect is superb and so are the colours. Interesting graffiti ;-) never saw one on a roof :-) 30 Nov 2006 6:28pm @Martin: Thank you. I'm of the opinion that one has to be seriously drunk to try something like that. Mommith in Chief from Naperville, United StatesWow, great work with the long shutter, you really got the motion nice. The composition can make other photographers envious too! 30 Nov 2006 10:54pm @Mommith in Chief: Thanks, Mammoth. I appreciate it. JL from Eugene, United StatesReally nice image, you sure get the most out of your G3. 1 Dec 2006 2:36am @JL: Thank you, JL. It's a great little camera, though I long for something a bit more responsive. @Craig Persel: Much appreciated, Craig. AJ Kassam from Ottawa, CanadaWhen they fell off the roof, I wonder if they fell in front of the streetcar?!? hmmmm. 2 Dec 2006 9:21pm @AJ Kassam: Thanks for your comments, AJ. I guess we'll never know about the story, but feel free to expand on it. I'd love to hear what happened. @Madredeus: Glad you like it, Madredeus! Visions by Dean Christopher. from Cardiff, United Kingdomclever...love the Traffic blurr also. 4 Dec 2006 9:44pm @Visions by Dean Christopher.: Thank you, Dean. The blur just sort of happened, but I'll agree it was fortuitous. |
